The Great Disneyland Paris Plan

There is so much to see and do at Disneyland Paris that you may easily find it more than a little bit confusing. With so much choice and so much area to cover it is advisable that you arrive with at least some sort of plan especially when travelling with young children. Ive compiled some handy pointers that will lead to your day being a relaxed, pleasurable and exciting as well as allowing you to experience everything the park has to offer.

Plan a route Investing in a little bit of time researching the park and its numerous rides and attractions now will save you any confusing when youre actually there. Spend some time thumbing through brochures, looking at Park maps and familiarising yourself with the different areas a bit. You do not want to navigate these huge parks blindly because although there are parks are signposts dotted throughout the park it will prove frustrating.

Getting to know the different rides and attractions will also give you an indication of many other things which may influence your route. For example if you are travelling with small children then you may not want to head to all of the high adrenaline rides first. In similar terms if you travel with teenagers It may not go down so well if you turn up at the tea cups, followed by other rides aimed at toddlers. To help you understand the age range of the attractions Disney have three different grades of rides. Family Adventures - This group is for younger children. You can be sure that all the attractions that fall under this umbrella are suitable for even the tiniest member of the family. The next group is Fun for little ones This group is made up of rides aimed at older children. The final category Big Thrills is aimed at the adrenaline junkies from teens and adults.

The next step is to actually plan a rough route this will save you time, hassle and energy. Ideally you want to highlight the rides and attractions you and your family would like to visit and plot a course that logically takes them all in. for example you dont want to be doubling back on your self half way across the park only to have to rush back to the previous point to catch a Showtime.

Whilst designing your master plan try and work in to it factors like toilet breaks, eating times, nappy changes, drink stops, naps etc. This may seem like a pretty regimented way to approach it but trust me, you will bask in the glory of your plan when the kids are all fed, watered, tired out and most of all contented that they have done and seen everything they wanted to.

Disney has many services that help to make your day out go that bit smoother. Be sure to take advantage of the fast pass ticket. After obtaining your ticket with a printed time from the appropriate ride you fast pass will grant you direct access to the attraction, without the need to queue. This can be a great help especially for those who cannot stand in long queues without discomfort such as the young, those with disabilities or older people.

If youre lucky enough to be staying in one of the Disney hotels youll benefit from special early entrance to the park before those staying off site!

I repeat again, this advice may seem a little strict and you may even think it takes the fun out of the trip but honestly when you arrive at Disneyland Paris youll be praising the almighty that you have some sort of idea of where to start!
